Mature Beauty

Mature beauty is something that I really enjoy. If we plan to live a long and prosperous life, we will need to know what looks good on us in each decade. I like to help women of all ages and backgrounds to look her best. It's fun and it's nothing like seeing their faces light up or see a twinkle in their eye when they see that they are beautiful.

Here, I want to provide a few tips that I find helpful for mature women.

  1. Don't be afraid to go lighter! Lighter brow colors, for instance (or just simply a lighter brow) can enhance beauty. Heavy, dark brows can often weigh-down the face, causing a more aged appearance. If you typically use a dark brown brown pencil, for example, try a pencil that may be reddish-brown. It can give the appearance of a lighter brow. The brow will still be brown, it'll just have a little red in it.  Be sure to test this out first and decide it if works with your hair and skintone. You can test and purchase brow products from Anastasia Brow (found in beauty stores such as Ulta and Sephora).
  2. Opt for brown. I like brown eyeliner for women. It's a great alternative to black. It will define the eye without being heavy.
  3. Have fun with lip colors! As you can see in the picture above, using a playful hue of purple really works on Olivia! She can really play up her features. If you typically wear red, for instance, a good transition color may be plum. It's still a bolder color and it works on most skin tones.
