MAC just keeps coming with new collection after new collection after new collection.
Well, there's another one out now with Caitlin Jenner. The collaboration was recently announced and is actually on MAC's website now. There are multiple lipsticks for sale. Some of these colors are available online only. The collection is full of beautiful eye shadows, lipsticks and liners among other things. Shopping for beautiful makeup is easy with this new collection.
Congrats are in order for pop star Janet Jackson and her husband. It has been reported that she has given birth to a baby boy. No other major details were given about the 50-year old's latest venture. Based on news that is available, mother and son are doing well. Looking forward to seeing pics of the family. Right now, though, I'm hoping that the new parents will be able to get some rest in between all of the feedings, diaper changes and excitement surrounding a newborn.
Wow! It's here! It seems like the new year came way too fast and we're back to this time of year yet again.

The 2017 Color of the Year has been announced. The color is called Greenery and it's a beauty. Pantone is THEE color authority! If you've never heard of Pantone, you have definitely felt the influence of this brand. It has influenced color and fashion and beauty, not to mention home color combinations.
So, what does this mean for us? Basically, look out for some green, honey!
I love what Pantone says about this color choice. It's really a reflection of what is going on in the world we live in and are currently experiencing. To paraphrase, green represents renewal. Think Spring.
We are sure to see this in spring fashion and makeup lines, as well as home trends. Looking forward to seeing more of this color in the Spring and Summer of 2017.
MAC has made an announcement that is sure to excite and surprise. It has announced that next week, Selena will be back in stock!
This is GREAT news for those of us who are Selena fans. Originally set to make it's second appearance in January, 2017, MAC has officially announced that next Wednesday, December 28, 2016, the collection will be available at www.maccosmetics.com. If you don't want to wait to order online, you can find the collection in stores on Thursday, December 29, 2016.
This is much welcomed news to MAC fans and Selena fans a lot. It's a great way to celebrate the life and legacy of such a beautiful young star that left us too soon.

MAC has another collaboration coming in just in time for Christmas. It's a real beauty!
The Mariah Carey Collection is pretty genius. Mariah Carey is superstar in her own right. She, like many other beauty icons, has something that stands out about her. A signature look, if you will, and it's all about the bling. She's all about being glamorous without being too 'showy' with her makeup. She loves a nude look. One thing that I really admire about Mariah Carey is that she shows what I knew all along: nude does NOT have to be boring. She tends to like for her hair and outfit to really be the focus while her makeup balances out the look. In regards to her makeup, the drama tends to come from the eyes because just like many icons before her, she loves her lashes!
She also loves her nudes. Nudes really speaks to her authentic, artistic styling. There are a lot of nudes and softer tones in this collection along with her love for butterflies. I remember purchasing her fragrance when it initially came out several years ago. I loved the purple butterfly bottle. The color purple and butterflies are 2 of my favorite things. She hasn't strayed away from her butterfly appreciation with this collection. Each lipstick has a butterfly embossed in the actual lipstick. Love that!
The collection has a strong focus on the the lips and eyes while providing pops of colors for the cheeks as well. There is something for everyone. I particularly like how MAC has everything Mariah from the names of the products to the styling. Ms. Carey is all about that bling! And it shows in this collection.
In true Mariah fashion, the collection offers lipstick and lipgloss. For those who like gloss (as she does), you won't be disappointed.

There is now another feast that we can partake of and it's these AWESOME Cyber Monday deals! I have seem some good ones out there in the world of makeup. It boils down to one thing: ALL retailers want you to SHOP! One of the better ones I've seen is Stila offering up to 85% off.
If you are unable to purchase from all of your favorite beauty brands, there are no worries. This is only the beginning! I expect to see more sales especially as we get closer to the week before Christmas. Don't count out brick and mortar deals either. Ulta has been really stepping up its game over this past year offering Black Friday types of deals well before the season started. So, check them out too for some of the products that you may not get to this Cyber Monday. I'm pretty sure they are going to be offering some wonderful deals.

Skincare at Lush for the holiday season
I am a fan of Lush! Yessssss! It is such a great store. I found their products to be really great. I like that the products and the way that care is taken for each product. The brand has really continued to introduce high quality products for everyone from skin care to hair care, masks and bathing products.
One of the great things that I can say about Lush is that these are actually natural products. There are some brands that use "natural" in wording but products aren't what I'd actually call natural. I tend to purchase the seaweed mask because it is awesome! It also requires refrigeration (from the store to your home). It is stored in a fridge at the store so it requires you to take it home and use it within a reasonable time. Expiration dates are printed on the bottom of the container.
On a recent trip to the store, I was introduced to this cleanser. The Buche De Noel cleanser is only around for the holidays. We can all use luminous skin, especially during the winter.

The time of year for great gift sets is finally here! It's a time of year that I look forward to as a makeup junkie.
The great things about sets is they allow you to "try-on" different makeup products and brands without fully committing.
The Light It Up set, by Smashbox, offers 6 lipsticks and a lip matte transformer. Why is this important? Well, you basically get 12 lipsticks if you add the matte to them. That's really a big deal!
The colors range from red to neutral. I would highly recommend this for anyone. The colors are pretty universal. There are instructions as to how to wear the matte transformer provided in the kit. One thing to note is that size-wise, these do no match the full-size that we are used to seeing. However, that is not a bad thing. The size of each products give you ample product. You really can't go wrong with this because it is only $29! Retail value is $117.
